Grandmaster Flatcap
What's the best way to get the sticky foam backing from wheels weights off silver minilights please?
Dave Rayner
Nigel, try a petrol soaked soft cloth and keep persevering refreshing the petrol now and again and you should find it will come off in small rubbery balls!!

Member Jonathan Kay Posted May 3, 2016 Member Share Posted May 3, 2016 I'd start with isopropyl alcohol before breaking out anything fiercer.Brake cleaner comes in various formulations and some of them might damage paint and tyres, or just possibly, the top layer on wheels.Jonathan
Titanium7
I used a piece of softwood (pine) with around. 60 degree chisel edge on the end a with copious amounts of WD40 'chiselled' the the rubber away as well as the adhesive. This is the same method I use to remove the bonnet foam and adhesive when I need to replace it.

Grandmaster Flatcap
Thank you all for the above. Taking your suggestions as inspiration, I found out a repeated alternate moistening with methylated spirit and scraping with the edge of a recently expired EHIC card proved most effective
Paul McKenzie
It's better with anew EHIC card, I believe
