Several years ago (about 7 or 8) a owner of a Caterham who was a friend of a friend was kind enough to take me out in his car as my friend had told him I was a big fan.

Terribly my memory is a little hazy of his name, i'm sure he was called Joe, I know he worked for Rolls Royce engineering. His car was a aluminum and green cross flow live axle I believe, he was from the Norfolk/Suffolk area but had moved away due to work.

My friends name who put me in touch with him was Mark Smithson.

Just wondered if anyone knows of him and could put me in touch, would like to let him know I finally got my own :)

I think it might be Joe Masterson who now works for Force India , I think the 7 might have gone now

Bless him his first trip in a 7 was with the legendary "Big Dave" in a 250bhp  monster. the first few miles were in 30's and 40's and Joe thought it quite pleasant, the national speed limit sign was reached and Dave buried it .  Poor Joe arrived at my house a little discombobulated  but totally hooked.
