so whilst the fill was hardly burnt it was absolutely saturated and weighing very heavy , no wonder it was noisy the full was doing nothing except cooling the fumes ? Or is it supposed to be wet ?

Anyway at least when re packed I will know what is in there

I used to run one of my CiC silencers with a CAT in side. Over all 850mm long but the cat was 300mm.

Built a new one out of parts left over without the CAT as no longer needed in Mod Prod.

Same length and 184mm diameter.   First run so not burnt off the fibre yet to expand fully yet the difference was signifficant.

Old @ 7000rpm used to be 98 -101dB

Yesterday 7000rpm = 93dB   Very pleased.

For dome reason the Busa's do sound louder but don't trigger the meters as much - has to be a frequency thing.

Not sure about yesterday's meter

I was 94 db - normally I am 104 . Hence the repack for Goodwood

tbh now more worried as fill was in tact and hardly charred

really hope that the wet nature of the fill was why I made so much noise
