Loctite/thread lock - not a rip-off after all

I'd always wondered why the little tubes of thread lock were so lightly filled. I thought it may just be one of those packaging scams (like Walkers crisps) but there is actually a reason for it. The thread lock sets by an anerobic reaction (without oxygen) so in order to prevent it setting in the tube they include plenty of air. The packaging is breathable as well.

 

It's amazing what you can learn when you stay awake in lectures. Should try it more often 😬
