Super Sprint Front Calipers Replacement

I have a 1996 S3 1700x/f Super Sprint on 13" wheels which had twin piston (one per side) calipers on Triumph uprights, these have been lost by a 3rd party*curse* so I am seeking replacements, either same again or upgrades.  Can someone please tell me :

A) what car the originals came from

B)  where I might source same again

C) where I might find sensibly priced replacements

Hi Virden. I replaced mine 2 years ago and having checked various options I would recommend Redline who are excellent and will discuss etc on the phone if necessary.

My callipers (FordM16) were £190 for the pair. I also went for a set of Mintex 1144 pads £44 and changed the discs too which were about £20.

I also considered upgrades but the consensus was "why change what already works" - and you know they will fit.

Hi spec is also a option http://www.hispecmotorsport.co.uk/page180.html works perfect with the std master cil. A budget option is the 2 pot caliper witch uses the same pads as the 4 pot caliper.

Simon the Hi spec calipers are about 3 kg lighter for roughly the same money

I may have a set that might fit, tht have never been used with discs and pads. Drop me a PM if you want some more info.

Thanks All, I think I have found a solution with Redline....... of course I should have gone to them first and avoided this hassle.

That's a common sentiment... would you have tried them earlier if it didn't require a 'phone call?
