revilla
If you struggle to find one, why not chop the standard wire in the middle, fit some readily available connectors on the cut ends such that you could then either just plug them back together or fit an arbitrarily long piece of extension cable in the middle with the same connectors? Member Jonathan Kay Posted March 23, 2016 Author Member Share Posted March 23, 2016 I know! This time it isn't that authenticity thing but a combination of laziness and there not being much in it at the hoped-for price of a preloved one...:-)Jonathan
spiderlane
Hi JonathanWhich proprietary connectors are you needing? They changed at some point. These? http://motorcycle.com.vsassets.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2014/02/022514-CTEK-battery-charger-4-connectors-518x389.jpgor these? If it's the latter than I have some male and female and the correct crimp tool. Happy to make you up a lead FOC if I can do it from my bitsa box.CheersMark
Member Jonathan Kay Posted March 24, 2016 Author Member Share Posted March 24, 2016 Thanks, Mark. It's the current (!) orange ones. And now I'm even more depressed by people's estimates of my wiring abilities!:-(Jonathan
spiderlane
Ah sorry can't help then. No slight on your abilities - just that I bought a pack of 10 of the white male/female connectors recently to make an extension lead for my (old fashioned) CTEK charger and so I have a load of spares :) P.S. <groan>current</groan>
