DavidC Posted February 12, 2003 Share Posted February 12, 2003 I made some carbon fibre nose cones for a race car last year, and whilst sourcing carbon I found that you could get Quarantined stock for about £5 per sq metre. It was quarantined urely due to a fault in the weave that was not noticable. It wouldn't be any use in a stressed application, but for cosmetic purposes it was ideal. The rolls would be so cheap because they were reaching the end of their shelf-life. Pick up a few of these at a good price and you can easily make these sheets for this kinda price.
