Cookie Monster
Does anybody know what circuit/s a Shurlock immobiliser kills? Is it the fuel pump feed or the switching to the injectors?Still having problems getting my car started -see my post "Ongoing saga of non starting 7" - but now seems to be either a faulty MBE or the immobiliser not allowing the injectors to switch. The injectors will put fuel in when tested but they are not getting a signal via the MBE to do so.Everything has been checked and these are the last two possibilities. Member Jonathan Kay Posted February 9, 2016 Member Share Posted February 9, 2016 I don't know if it's in the manual, but there a couple of threads that might help you find a copy:1 2.Jonathan
revilla
I think the immobiliser will just exchange a coded key signal with the ECU; it will be the ECU that decides to kill systems when it doesn't get immobiliser "permission". So you may be better rephrasing the question to ask what circuits an MBE ECU kills when it is immobilised. I think the answer will most likely be independent of the particular immobiliser.
