Noel Mclaughlin
Long shot I know but I need 3 Weber DCOE carbs 58mm for the return of a Group C six cylinder race car I have just purchased to it's historically accurate configuration . Any lhelp would be greatly appreciated. They were used mainly on Coventry Climax F1 motors. Noel Mclaughlin
Yeah I know its large but these were used on this car a six cylinder of 3.3litres capacity during the racing heyday of Australian Holden Torana XU1 sedans which were the ducks guts in the early seventies in Oz. Our "unofficial" we don't support motor racing Holden team used 1 choke of each of 3 carbs as a neat little sidestep within the rules of group C that said: Carbs are free, provided that the same number of venturi are USED, and manifolds may only be changed AFTER the original mounting flange, thus giving birth to this substitute for 3 poxy Stromberg CD 1.5" as fitted OEM on this factory hotrod built especially to win Bathurst .
