RogW Posted January 13, 2016 Share Posted January 13, 2016 Has anyone got a nice, non leaky fuel tank for a K series car??Mine has a double tank (2 standard tanks welded together) fine for longer distances - but the fuel sensor is in the 'top' tank, so the fuel gauge goes down to zero and you still have another 8 gallons to go. Plus of course the weight aspect with the tank filled up (having almost 16 gallons of fuel in is not really in line Mr Chapman's basis of 'Add Lightness . . . It has been removed from my car as I am fitting a custom tank from Axminster Panels.The tank has a small patch on the bottom where a pin hole formed next to one of the welds for the baffle. Other than that it works perfectly.
