Member Jonathan Kay Posted January 9, 2016 Member Share Posted January 9, 2016 Can't find anything in the Assembly Guide. Have you checked the fastener packs? If not I'd buy a mixed set and play it by ear...Jonathan
Wrightpayne
Halfords sell them - also known as cotter pins.Ian
CharlesElliott
I have some but they are a bit small and weedy - was trying to get the correct size.
Wrightpayne
Size is governed by the bore of the hole they go into. Can you measure that?for a clevis pin they dont need to be 'that' strong - just stops it falling out. I'd be more concerned about correct sizing on something like the front hub nut.Ian

Grubbster
Caterham stopped using R clips (at about the time I built y first car IIRC) as there were incidents of them breaking . . . . split pin would be my preference.
mark_w
was advised to change my R clips to split pins ...from a safety point of view, cant remember who from though
elie boone
Strange that a R clip would break as there is no mechanical strain on it.
