garyo
Need a MEMS to run a 1800K, and a matching 5AS too I guess! Gary.
c21vhpd
garyo, I have a VHPD MEMS, which I guess is not what you want, but you never know! 5AS is the immobilser? I'm still using that... craig Honda Passion Orange, 640kg , and proud of it
garyo
Hi craig, thanks, but I think that'll complicate things for me! I want to run an unknown quantity standard 1.8 for a month or so to check it's okay, before fitting a ported head, cams, and throttle bodies. I think rover charge 40 odd quid to align the MEMS and 5AS so I'd rather get a matched pair really, otherwise I'm getting into territory where I may aswell buy an M3D. Cheers, Gary. Delberts Wallet
My local rover dealer charged me £12 to match my ecu with the immobiliser. I guess you can't use the 1.6 ecu with a 1.8? If you can I have one. Gareth Blue and Carbon Supersport T561 LKJ
garyo
I think the flywheel patterns on the 1.6/1.8 are the same, so the 1.6 ECU may be okay... I'll try to figure it out and get back to you. I'm not sure the ECU will be clever enough in closed loop mode to get the mixture right... how clever are they... or can I just up the fuel pressure a tad? Gary.
