Martym
My 1.4 Classic brakes tend to lock up on rears when pressed hard. I know fronts if any should lock up first. Have read about fitting Mintex pads to front might help ? The current pads fitted to my car are AP Racing, Front CP3915-44-DS25HP & rear CP3915-42-DS25HP does any body know what the 44 & 42 refer to ? Member Jonathan Kay Posted December 31, 2015 Member Share Posted December 31, 2015 No idea, but the same question was asked in 2013, with a suggestion about how to find out. I'd start by asking AP Racing. Anything in the catalogue that helps?Jonathan
CharlesElliott
Do you have standard front (Girling type 14) and rear (Sierra) brake calipers?
CharlesElliott
My initial feeling is that you have a 'good' pad in the rear, whereas what you really need is a good pad in the front and a relatively bad pad in the back....
Martym
Yes, Spitfire front calipers & Sierra rears. I believe the rears are a road pad from info found on net. I have ordered a set of M1144`s for the front this morning
CharlesElliott
M1144s probably won't be enough if there is a good pad in the back - but you can see how it is.
