Paul Bowden Posted February 4, 2003 Share Posted February 4, 2003 I keep reading comments to the effect that the R300 is realy putting out nearer 170 bhp rather than the quoted 160 bhp. Is there any truth in this or is it just speculation. Has any one had one on a dyno. Also was the rumour that R300 were going to VVC another red herring. I need to know, so I can dream my next move. SteveP Posted February 4, 2003 Share Posted February 4, 2003 I have also been told that the 'true' engine output on an R300 is probably more like 165 - 167 bhp, but do not have any evidence as such. Yes there were rumours of the engine being replaced with a stock VVC item, but with the recent 1K price rise, this has covered the increased cost of the roller barrelled unit I believe.
