Roger Ford
I'm after a Caterham K-series wet sump.Doesn't matter if it's a bit bashed - or even cracked and repaired - so long as it holds oil.Faling that, does anyone have a Rover sump hanging around blocking their garage? simonpa
I've a Rover sump - it's pretty low-profile.You are welcome to use it as long as you need, I just use it to keep the bottom-end clean on any build I may be doing. Are you able to get to Fleet or Winnersh (M4/J10) to meet?Cheers - Simon
Roger Ford
Thanks, Simon. Might need it for an indefinite period - basically it'll be protecting a spare engine. A quick look on ebay says they're pretty cheap, so if I can't find a Caterham one I'll probably get one from there.
CharlesElliott
A spare engine of the same spec as the one you have?
Roger Ford
No, my current engine when it gets replaced with the mega engine, If the mega engine goes bang, I'll have to either build a new mega engine from what's left, or revert back to supers spec. Or I might sell it if someone blows their super engine. The mega engine doesn't come with a sump, as Trev is looking to buy a VVC engine and needs to keep his sump.
