OliW
Hi all,A quick mention that the St Goueno date is to be announced soon. If anyone is interested in going can you let me know here? I started a thread about it last year but it didn't happen. I still quite fancy it though.
Englishmaninwales
Oli, I might be interested, date dependant. On decent rubber, of course, none of the new regs rubber that we have to downgrade to next year (I bet the French road going classes will completely ignore the changes in EU tyre regs ) Malcolm

OliW
Excellent chaps. I understand the number of entries is lower this year so it'll be a case of getting in quickly if we're going to do it. I'll let you know as soon as I see the date posted, but keep an eye on the hillclimb France website too. I think the regs follow those in the UK so I don't yet know whether the ZZRs will be permitted. We'll see on that. If there are a few of us then we could look into hiring a gite for the weekend maybe?
Drumster
Hmm, very tempting.... not a definite but keep me posted.A quick Google shows the proposed dates
OliW
Don't forget you need a FHR and extinguisher for French hills too. Regs on the website.

Leg
Oli,We are considering going,( if we have a car). From what we have heard so far, they will still be allowing 1C's in Road Going - so as we already have extinguisher and HANs, plus live nearer to France than most UK venues, it's very tempting!Lynn

OliW
Hi all,The date has now been announced as the 27-29th of May 2016 and entries will be open soon. I will post as soon as I hear anything on that front, so please keep your eyes peeled on this thread.Note that the date does not interfere with any L7C provisional dates, although it would make for a busy period if you were to go to events for three weekends in a row.Oli
OliW
The entries for this will open in about two weeks apparently, so keep you eyes peeled! The event will fill up quickly I suspect, as entries numbers are a little lower than previously.

OliW
Well it doesn't look like any of us got a spot, which is disappointing. Might not bother again.
punch
I wonder what the selection criterion is? Pity I was getting quite excited by the prospect ! Will have to make do with Gurston.Philip
OliW
Mmm, I wondered that too, seeing as there seem to be a few who have been before that got an entry.
Leg
A couple of the HSA guys have posted on Facebook that they have got entries - but I do know that they are people who have tried to get in before - so that may tell you something.Lynn
Englishmaninwales
Oh well, looks like were going to Gurston instead....(Mind you last time I went to Gurston, I recall the Diet Coke had run out in the bar and Mr Sankey speaking to me in his newly aquired Welsh language )
mikes
If only I could remember I am sure that is slanderous I took the precaution of not stopping overnight at Gurston last time and felt surprisingly awake in the morning Mike
