Dave Rothwell
I have an Autocom headset with a seven pin male DIN plug. Been offered another but it's a five pin female DIN. The headsets have microphones. Does anyone perchance know the pinouts and if I can convert it. Many thanks, daveR

Dave Rothwell
As further info for interest - Sam advises you can plug a five pin din set into a seven pin setup but the volume will be very low as the extra two pins are used for earths for the speakers - that sounds like it doesnt work to me !! Rattie
IIRC, Autocom uses an electret mic, while Peltor are likely to use a dynamic. So both the output levels and power requirements are mismatched. I tried to hook a Stilo helmet with integrated headset (same levels as most Peltor rigs) into our Autocom. I couldn't get it to work, even with preamps etc.I may still be able to find the pinouts if you're feeling lucky. Martyn
