SvenDriver Posted February 2, 2003 Share Posted February 2, 2003 I've got a standard 1.8K with a standard exhaust and have no idea how loud it is. Do caterham publish numbers? Steve Robinson Posted February 2, 2003 Share Posted February 2, 2003 Not a definitive answer i'm afraid, my girlfriend ran her 02 superlight with standard exhaust at Goodwood last year and had no problems with their 98db limit, so you should be fine. My 98 Superlight R was clocked at over 100 whilst on track, and they simply leant me an additional piece for the exhaust which scraped me through, so all is not necessarily lost if you are over the limit (depending upon organiser of course!) If I turn up and fail the 100db limits then we wont be allowed on the track. I don't think they'll have bolt-ons available on the day. MSE have suggested a call to DemonThieves to buy additional silencing to be on the safe side. MSE might also be able to test the car before then if I can go to Bradford on Avon.
