glasgow
Hello, hello...Still here. Car going well and did a great weekend blat with the LADS. And as usual was the only seven with a hood. Paul Richard showed me how to do mechanical oil sender. This will be my next task (well, has been on the to-do-list for sometime). Did a clutch pedal stop in the pedal box. Bought a DA polisher and had a go on SWMBO TT then used it on the seven. Had a fright when I saw the bad full of yellow colour, next time will just do hand polisher. Hope you are all well. SM25T
Good to hear you are still with us and enjoying the 7. We were talking about you fitting the mechanical OPG years ago !! You can do it.
tbird
ah you have discovered how soft the paint is on 7s probably best to polish by hand :-) , how did the new garage project go in the end
glasgow
Garage is finished. Insulated roof and door but single wall prefabricated concrete panel. Two fans for air circulation + a dehumidefier + heater. Last winter had no problem with condensation But would like to do some wall insulation before this winter. Thinking of buying http://www.wickes.co.uk/Celotex-50mm-High-Performance-Insulation-Board-1200x2400mm/p/190544
Dartmoor7
R2 BOY has travelled a long way, used to belong to a Devon member.
glasgow
Does the previous owner have any contact details of the new owner?
Dartmoor7
No, i think he sold it to a dealer several years ago.
tbird
Ahmed I wonder if the celotex might be a bit soft, I think its designed to go into cavities, you might want to consider something like http://www.marmox.co.uk/dry-lining-insulation, should give a slightly tougher surface , if your only trying to keep the 7 dry you could also consider a Carcoon inside the garageTim
LawrenceR
I owned R2 BOY from Millwoods about 5.5 years ago. I kept it for four years and sold it before buying my new one.
Dartmoor7
Yeah, Millwood's was where the Devon guy sold it, although he remembers it as eight years ago, so maybe another owner between him and you.
