The gauge seems to be ok as I can make the needle move if I earth it. Anybody got any ideas! AMMO Posted January 31, 2003 Share Posted January 31, 2003 Chris H The temperature sensor on a Zetec is in a plastic housing (early ones were metal). Are you sure the outer body of the sensor is earthed? Usually has an eyelet which the sensor is screwed through. A wire then is earthed to the block. Like you say the new type is in a plastic housing with 2 spades. I did wonder what the second one was for!
