Cookie Monster
My car has suffered from msifires for ages (intermittently). One of the problems is occasional dampness getting into the plug holes. So what brand of plug leads is the optimum for a R300 k series? Was thinking Magnecor blue leads.Keen to know what the rest of you are using?
Area Representative Paul Richards Posted September 18, 2015 Area Representative Share Posted September 18, 2015 I'm using Magnecor. As recommended by DVA. They're blue by the way. Seem ok but only done about 3k miles.

Mark Durrant
I used Magnecour Red and never had any issues on with my R500K
7 wonders of the world
I was probably the odd one then, mine had a manufacturing fault (picked up on the rollers at Emerald) and their customer service was shocking to say the least. So I voted with my feet. Ozzy
Hmm..... Had Magnecour red leads on my car for a while, but they started to fall apart! First to go was the lead to the coil, closely followed by no1 lead. Connections fell apart at dizzy end. They never fitted in the plug holes properly anyway, so wasn't that impressed with them from day one. Chucked them all away a few weeks ago, and fitted OE leads from Rimmer Bros! Not sure about Elise parts either. Bought a dizzy cap and rotor arm from them. Rotor arm didn't fit, too tight on shaft so never used it, dizzy cap was cheap copy. Soon replaced with OE parts!Oz.....
6speedmanual
If you have an intermittent misfire cjeck other HT components too. I recently traced an issue to a hairline crack in the rotor arm. Peter

6speedmanual
@ozzy. I found the magnecore fitted ok and like the "umbrella" shape which attemps (not perfectly) to cover over the hole/tube.
6speedmanual
@markiebabes and durrant: I went for the blue, 7mm, to save weight :P. ;)
