Tony C
Ade, Looking in the Vehicle Wiring Products catalogue, they don't give a current rating, merely their cross-sectional area(csa). They are made from tin plated brass with vinyl insulation. I'm mentioning this because those two characteristics pretty much determine their safe current carrying capacity. The Blue terminals are 1.5 to 2.5 square mm csa. Thinwall cable which is rated at 25 amps has a csa of 2 square mm. Yellow terminals have a greater csa, but they don't make them as small as 2.8 mm blade width. If you prefer to use terminals, the 2.8mm width blue ones will need to be slightly squeezed to give the required grip on the terminals on the back of the switch. Squeeze them before you fit them and try to make the curly bits closer the the flat bit. They need to be tight enough to make it a struggle to get them off again. When I do mine I also intend to use a bit of heat shrink sleeving to insulate the finished terminal connection, but insulation tape will work too. Cheers, Tony Waiting for my BRG SV kit. 😬 (Superior Version) - 9 weeks to go!
