K Series water rail leaking

You need to make sure that when you attach the rail at the front, that you are not straining the rear connection and causing a leak round the gasket.  You may need to pack the front connection with washer(s) to get the rear attachment flush

I used two gaskets and a dollop of flange sealant between it all. Also checked the alignment of the front mount as above and it has given me no issues after the spewing all the fresh coolant over the floor on initianl fill-up when I changed engines.

The fixing bolts are carried over from the donor engine which has a fitting with a 12mm flange, the water rail has a 5mm or so flange, trim the bolts a little, check when the two bolts are done up at the rear that the front fixing is hard up against the head where the front bolt sits, if not , pack the gap with washers so that the rail is not levered in as this can cause leave at the rear of the flange, ensure you use a quality gasket with a light trace of hylomar.
