Rear Brakes on S3 Roadsport 2004

I have a 2004 1.8 K series roadsport and have reservations about the rigid brake pipes connected to floating calipers. I would like to change the pipes to stainless steel braded flexible ones, but I am confused as to what threads the brake unions are. (Ford Seira Calipers?) A UNF one seems to be far to sloppy, but the inboard end is definetly UNF, the metric equivalent are a better fit in the calipers.

I recall MOCA2CV getting his brake threads mixed up with expensive results. One end of the car was M10 and the other 3/8". Trying to fit the wrong fitting ... with a bit of force .... damaged the caliper beyond use. Sure it is detailed on his website.

I've made up my own rear flexible hoses a couple of times buying "Euroqup" fittings and hose from RallyDesign, using extended banjo fittings at the caliper and convexed ended bulkhead fittings into the tee.

They're M10x1 at the caliper and 3/8UNF at the tee on the dedion tube.
