Perhaps the presence of a nipple should be enough to provoke a conditioned response. (Should I start this contribution again?) Actually, it does say to grease this point(s) somewhere in the construction book or the handbook, but my trouble is that the whole thing is so tight you can't force any grease in there despite ever so much huffing and puffing. I am tempted to slacken it all off and then have a go.

My experience is with the older Lotus setup where the ARB forms part of the top wishbone. Here the ARB should be an easy running fit in the alloy mounts and has to be lapped in to provide this. Nipples are fitted as standard on the Lotus version and the mounts are easily greased. If your ARB is jammed into its mounts this must prejudice its operation.

From what I remember, the grease nipples on the alloy blocks took some work to get grease through. The small guns do not work and ordinary grease guns could be awkward to get off (or was that me being cack handed). So I ended up unscrewing the bolts one a year and coating the inside with grease.

Freestyle now do maintenance free nylon blocks for the same job - assuming that they fit the original ARB.
