abbot
RH side works okLH side NGbulbs seem okso I am guessinng the pqroblem lies between the switch and the LH side harnessAny pointers on prqoblem solving logic would be rqeally helpfulthanks
Member Jonathan Kay Posted August 1, 2015 Member Share Posted August 1, 2015 Standard set-up... not LEDs? Wiggle switch a few times. Check voltage at the switch output. Assuming 2 is OK take all the bulbs out and check voltage at the terminal on the lampholder.Jonathan

TJG
Might be worth operating/swopping the hazard light switch, they usually stop all indicaters but IIRC they are seperate contacts for left and right indicaters. Tony
Member Jonathan Kay Posted August 1, 2015 Member Share Posted August 1, 2015 Good point, Tony. I couldn't remember whether a bad contact there could affect one side.Jonathan

wjblundell
Check the earth by running a separate wire from the earth tab on the indicator to an existing earth point on the chassis. If indicator works the fault lies with the original earth wire.
Paul McKenzie
as above, it's the earth, remove the offender, clean it up and use a new fixing
abbot
If the LH side works when i switch the terminals then it must be the switch or am i missing something
Member Jonathan Kay Posted August 1, 2015 Member Share Posted August 1, 2015 Are you switching the connections on the indicator switch or the hazard warning switch? If the LH side works when i switch the terminals then it must be the switch or am i missing somethingIf you're switching the connection directly at the indicator switch then it's the switch. Confirm by disconnecting everything and measuring the switch's resistance from common to output on each side.Jonathan
abbot
Yes i am swapping the terminals at the switch and can therefore make the indicators work on the left or the right
