Tazio
Does anyone know if Gearbox Speed Sensor SKU 71254 is a Caterham specific part, or, if not, does anyone know where to source one? Thanks
Member Jonathan Kay Posted June 3, 2015 Member Share Posted June 3, 2015 Burton have something similar.I think there may be something in the archives on a Ford part.Jonathan
CharlesElliott
I believe it is a custom Caterham part (and not particularly well made) BUT at the same time it is just a mechanical rotation to pulse converter. Car Builder Solutions have two sensors with different plug options, the white one looks like it might fit or might require a plug change to fit the Caterham loom. I've just asked CBS if they know, because I would like one too.
Tazio
Thanks guys, I've tried looking in the archives, but can't find a suitable search string that digs something up, and Charles, if you get anything off CBS do let me know.Alan

CharlesElliott
CBS were helpful, but not definitive:Both our senders are three wire versions. It could be that it is just an earth that is additional. the one thing you would need to find out is the pulses per revolution of the caterham one. Ours give 6 pulses per revolution.
