glasgow
Trying to remove Waxoyl from thr rear chassis tubes before applying POR15. POR 15 Cleaner degreaser didn't remove the Waxoyl (may be because it is water base so not good). Should I just carry on and apply POR15 Metal Prep then POR15 paint. But worried the paint may not adhere to the tubes. Or should I try a better degrease? Thank you
SM25T
White Spirit removes Waxoyl I believe.
Member Jonathan Kay Posted May 31, 2015 Member Share Posted May 31, 2015 (Crossed with SM25T's.)I don't know what POR-15 Cleaner is but the manufacturers say it's water-based.I'd try white spirit first, and if that doesn't work petrol. Usual precautions.Jonathan
