DrivRich
I am due to receive my Roadsport in 7 days time (it was going to be today but a delay in the paint shop held it up). The only tool on the list which I have yet to get is "circlip pliers". When I went to buy them I was asked if I wanted internal or external? £7 a pair in Halfrauds. Which will I want please? Or both? Thanks, Dave Saw a 7 Hitched a ride in a 7 Ordering a 7 - Done that now ❗ Will Own a 7 😬 - First Week of 2003 😬 😬 Membership Number 6640

oilyhands
There are some trick circlip pliers that can work as either internal or external by varying the pivot that the pliers turn on, Draper do these, they are reasonable quality. Al Duncan
The only time I can recalling using circlip pliers during the build was once - the internal circlip on the gearbox speedodrive. Al
Support Team rob spencer Posted January 24, 2003 Support Team Share Posted January 24, 2003 Al I'll second that. I bought the two-way type because the build manual said they were needed. I was a little hacked off that it was for a single circlip that I could easily have inserted using other basic tools in the garage. rob
Peter Carmichael
The speedo drive on the gearbox is about the only one. I bought reversible ones for approx 3 quid.

DrivRich
Thank you everyone for saving me £7 or even £14! I really hope that I will not be looking at pistons for a long while yet ❗ Dave Saw a 7 Hitched a ride in a 7 Ordering a 7 - Done that now ❗ Will Own a 7 😬 - First Week of 2003 😬 😬 Membership Number 6640
