Roger Ford
Looking for a bike for my son, who's grown out of his (again). He's about 5'10, and still growing, so medium to large size needed, I guess.Looking for a good condition, decent quality hardtail, in the range £200 to £400. Might even consider full sus if the price and quality is right. Also might consider a hybrid.Suggestions for extraordinary deals on new bikes welcomed as well. C7GCS
I've got a lovely retro Marin MTB in his size - steel frame and fully rigid though. I generally build and deal in early mountain bikes as a hobby, but appreciate being a 'youngster' he's probably after something a bit more up to date. I can vouch for the fact this one is a lovely ride and was a bit of a barn-find with minimal use/wear from new. see. ebay item 201342564645 original late '80s 'splatter' paintwork and solid as a rock (early steel MTBs should last a lifetime). Roger Ford
Very nice, but I don't think he'd appreciate the rigid forks or centre-pull brakes (or the pink paint job!)
