Barkalarr
What's involved with upgrading a Sigma car from 120bhp to at least 150bhp ?Roughly how much is this going to cost?Cheers
DJ.
Far too much, from what I've seen! The premier power upgrade is good by all accounts and will give you what you want. Shawspeed tune Sigma engines too, but I don't know how much they charge. I've wondered whether a mild supercharged set up might be the best way to boost performance, but don't know if anyone has done this on a Seven. Garth
If you are based up North try Jeff at HWR...
ChrisC
What about the supersport kit ?
DJ.
£2274 seems rather a lot for 15bhp and no more torque to me
Barkalarr
I couldn't agree more. I looked at this before I posted and thought there must be another way ???
diggerman
I have a Sigma 150. Suspect the up grade is complicated and expensive but the result is fantastic, great performance with superb soundtrack!
ChrisC
I sourced all the parts for a 150 last year, and had a independent Caterham specialist fit them. It cost about the same as the 140 kit. I 100% agree with the soundtrack, can't beat a bit of good old fashion intake roar.
Domus
Which cams did you fit and where from? I would be intersested in what cam timing yours is set to.
ChrisC
The cams where new from Caterham (part number 36E064A), and they where set as per factory spec by Rob at Boss Racing (he is an ex Caterham employee). In fact the only second hand part I had to use was the ITBs, but these where reconditioned before fitting.
KRL
The Shawspeed kit looks to be about £3k for parts producing a claimed 150 - 165 bhp.
