SM25T
Local vehicle or boat trimmers ? Well ... maybe a mainland one ! Make a template in paper and post it to someone to ...... or buy a bit on line and cut to size yourself ?
SM25T
..... or paint the bulkhead black. Carpet just gets filthy behind the seats in my experience.
finmac
Interesting thought about painting. It would look good in black bit it's a big area so would need to be sprayed? Given it's alloy, need an etch primer first?
SM25T
Hammerite metal primer in red does ali ok. Then brush on black Smoothrite satin.
finmac
You reckon that will look "finished" enough?
SM25T
Just done it inside and out on my new lowered floor. It smooths out a treat if you don't over brush it too much. Use a wide soft brush.
7 wonders of the world
Easy enough to mask off that area with 50mm masking tape, then etch with upol acid then spray with hammerite satin
finmac
Thanks for the comments guys, looking at the cost of the primer and paint, I think id be cheaper with a carpet!!
Mavic82
Just buy some carpet, it is cheap as chips. I bought a roll of better quality carpet last year at the kit car show. I made new tunnel carpets and boot floor. I have enough to make another set to. All from a £15 roll!just made templates with news paper and fixed with spray carpet glue.
