SM25T
Yes. It has two cores. Get the polarity right and it works. Casing is plastic so no electrical grounding occurs.

SJD
i ordered the CBS 28 led light on Friday afternoon, it was delivered Saturday morning and I fitted it to the roll bar Saturday afternoon. Very pleased with the result

Daniel French
I bought this one which I've nearly fitted this weekend. It's all wired in nicely, but I can't figure out the best way to mount it to the FIA roll bar on the cross section... Any ideas with pictures would be welcome
Member Jonathan Kay Posted March 22, 2015 Member Share Posted March 22, 2015 The simplest (other than cable ties) might be a U bolt:http://www.multifixsupplycompany.com/images/ww/product/merlin/pp05296-mn.jpgbut I'd like a split clamping bracket with half of the tube section recessed in each piece, and a flat face that sits against the lamp. Aluminium or 3D printed.Jonathan
CharlesElliott
Some of those lights required a resistor to be fitted inline - I know of a few racers that destroyed theirs....
SJD
I bought the 28 led version http://www.carbuildersolutions.com/uk/28-led-high-level-brake-light it's a bit smaller but hopefully just as effective.I fitted it under the roll bar with 2 cable ties through the locating lugs. No resistor needed; once i sorted out the polarity it was an easy job.
Ian Hayward
On the older single diagonal FIA bar I mounted it with two suitably sized rubber lined stainless P-clips.If you are careful with the orientation of the clips and light base, you can effectively cancel out the angled mounting base on the light and ensure that the light is pointing straight backwards.Obviously this won’t work in the same way on the newer FIA bar with crossed diagonals, but may give you some ideas. SM25T
The rain lights are a bit retina-searing at night. Maybe tilt it down a little .... or at least don't keep your foot on the brake once stopped if there is a car behind.
FramerateUK
I built one for mine from a light from Maplin (which is the same as the MSA light).I intentionally positioned it so it's visible with the half hood and a boot bag.

Edzup Ezzer
I've bought a high mounted stop light from S-V-C to fit to my FIA roll bar and the CC harness to go with it. Could somebody give me a heads up on the route for the wire from the stop light down to the LHS rear lamp cluster. It may well be obvious but I would appreciate a pointer or two to save me time.CheersEzzer
SM25T
I taped mine behind the diagonal roll bar support then through filler pipe cutout in boot floor .... inside screenwash tube to get it past boot floor edge.

DaveMorris
SM25T - just caught back up on this thread. I don't own/fit a full hood, just a half hood.Wife currently trying to persuade me not to put poppers in the rE-Bag as I only use it once in a blue moon (and normally on another car) - so might not be able to get any pictures of that, or even see how worthwhile/practical it might have been. Some good ideas and options shown above,Dave
