Member Jonathan Kay Posted February 22, 2015 Member Share Posted February 22, 2015 Mine converted itself into a non-release steering wheel so after finally* removing it I gave the splines and sprung balls a dollop of Castrol CL. But only because that's what sits on the bench: I don't think it matters much. Jonathan* No maxillofacial surgeons were involved in this procedure. SM25T Posted February 22, 2015 Share Posted February 22, 2015 What sort of QR wheel ? Splined type can wear and exhibit play. Thick grease helps conceal this, but makes a real mess of clothing when wheel removed. I now have the Rapfix QR .... which is clean and lovely.
