Ignition Light...

This has happened twice to me very recently. Same model as yours.

First was an alternator with worn out diodes, but I had a spare so I fitted it, but after 300 miles same thing started to happen albeit at higher revs (6000). This was down to a burnt connector (top one nearest the manifold) which I replaced and is now fine. I am considering a heat shield between the alternator and the manifold along with a reduced sized pulley to try and "slow down" the alternator.

Happy hunting, cheers

Strongy - go on, wake the neighbours. 😬
