Kal-El
Do the new 195 50 15 ZZS tyres fit without any clearance issues on the 15" rims?P
John Vine
Are you replacing CR500 195/45-15s? If so, I'm interested in the answer to your query too. It also appears that they will raise the gearing about 5% given that they run at 874 revs/mile, compared to the CR500 at 924.JV
Kal-El
Good news! Both the ZZR and ZZS tyres will be available in a 195 50 15 from May 2015 and will fit the 15" caterham wheels without issue. Avon have tested this with Caterham. (Despite a small increase in diameter). Avon will also be producing the CR500 tyre for a while yet. I spoke with James at Avon today.p.

Mavic82
195/50/15 was the original Caterham 15" tyre size on the prisoner wheels and before the CR500's.i run this size Toyo on the front. The only issue could be if you had very close fitting wing stays. However standard stays are fine.
Mechanical Moz
Bah, just as I was almost coming to a decision between Toyo R1R vs Yoko AD08R I've now got a third contender in the mix!
John Vine
(Slight resurrection....)Does anyone happen to have the calibration code for the 195/50-15 ZZS? (I imagine it will be slightly lower than the CR500 value of 039751.)JV
revilla
Wouldn't it just be 874 / 924 * 039751 = 037600 ?
John Vine
Doh!! You're quite right, of course, Andrew. But I'd entirely overlooked the "874" in my post at #2. Not only that, I'd entirely forgotten where I got the info from! I've now found it again on the Avonsport website.Incidentally, I was over near Toulouse on Monday, and spotted a (Spanish?) truck exactly like this: JV
