Mavic82 Posted February 8, 2015 Share Posted February 8, 2015 can anyone tell me the colour of the wire that feeds the live ignition 12v to the the rad fan switch please, on a late 80's early 90's cross flow if it makes any difference.the assembly guide says it should be green, I have cut in to the loom and there is no green! After accounting for the headlight wires, alternator etc I have a few options left including a purple with yellow stripe??before I start randomly cutting in to check with a DVM can anyone give me any pointers?thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Nigel Riches Posted February 9, 2015 Share Posted February 9, 2015 Hi Mavic, The ignition supply to the thermo switch on my 1982 car (x-flow, now zetec) is green, with a "brown, green trace" on the other lead to, what originally was the fan, then a relay, and now not connected. Passenger side.I will be out in the shed tomorrow, could try to trace which pin is connected to the thermo switch, you may be able to do a continuity check to find the elusive wire, if I can sort which one it is and post back to you.
