I.Mupferit Posted January 18, 2003 Share Posted January 18, 2003 I've just got my nice new English axle with discs and shiny XR4i calipers fitted and I now need to work out how to connect my existing under dash handbrake to the 2 calipers. I know on current DD chassis with the tunnel mounted handbrake, there is a pulley wheel which pulls on a cable linked to both calipers, but how did the early DD system work with its under dash lever? Trevor Phillips Posted January 18, 2003 Share Posted January 18, 2003 Brent We fitted the under-dash handbrake to our ex-Vauxhall Challenge car recently. Caterham supplied the pulley and individual cables to each caliper. The chassis has some holes for the fittings to run through. Sounds similar, but longer, than the tunnel version.
