Cookie Monster
Last time it started fine but not now.Fuel pump isn't whirring but fuse is fine; inertia switch is bridged for sprinting so not that.Have to say initially I thought battery was dead but now confirmed that's ok.Only thing that has changed since last time is removed boot floor and rear fog & reversing lights but can't see that affecting it.Any ideas pls? Member Jonathan Kay Posted January 23, 2015 Member Share Posted January 23, 2015 Are you at home or do you need help on the road? Can you check battery voltage while cranking? How near to the fuel pump and wiring did you get while in the boot? Measure voltage on the feed at the pump (with the ignition on!).Jonathan
Cookie Monster
Car's in the garage so not urgent.Sorry, should have added car won't crank & fuel pump isn't whirring so seems more likely to be immobiliser related & that hasn't been interfered with.I don't think I've messed with any wiring.Phil. Ian B
Is this a K series with rover ECU?If so have you checked the ECU fuse (and is it 30A not 20A)?

DJ.
I had a similar problem, only my immobiliser wouldn't ever work again. When I contacted an alarm company they advised me that the immobilisers with a contact on the dash are much more reliable and cheaper than the aerial type, so that's what I had fitted.Duncan
