andy bell
Just wondering what other people have done in terms of race suit and relative £££. I am looking to race a fair bit this coming year and whilst some might go huge amount of ££ i am wary of the weather (i.e. peeing rain) and wondering if i went for a lovely suit whether after some lovely Oulton Park/Knockhill weather its gonna be not quite as nice as it once was.For those that have done it alot and suffered the open top - go cheaper and buy more often or go more expensive and ensure its dried throughly etc.. 2GBR
My comment would be to buy the best suit you can afford ie correct number of layers for protection, comfortable fit etc, Then correctly launder to manufactures recomendations if dirty. I think you may be surprised at how dry you keep in a seven wilst racing though especially if you have crew to umbrella you wilst waiting in the holding pen pre race, Having a half door drivers side with joint duct tapped closed, also a tonneau makes a massive difference
andy bell
cheers for feedback and sounds like a plan. I have the half doors interesting on the duct tape may keep that in mind. Tonneau - do people get them from soft bits for sevens and presume leather rather than the (aluminium?) R300 one?
