For anybody looking for Hillclimb and/or Sprint events specifically in the south west of the country, then the Association of South West Motor Clubs (ASWMC) provisional calendar is now online.

There are always a good mix of cars in the ASWMC championship ranging from monster single seaters to vintage rally cars to Nissan Micras - I run in class 'B2' which is well supported and has a range of makes:  Ginetta, Westfield, Stuart Taylor, Sylvas, Haynes, etc, and a smattering of blue Caterhams.  Full details of class structures and entry forms are on the ASWMC website.

The six Hillclimb events at Wiscombe Park form a mini championship called 'The Wiscombe Championship' which is excellent value (£14-50 to enter - £300 + trophy for first place in 2014, plus free buffet/wine for competitors and partners at the annual presentation bash held at Wiscombe House in November) - see the Wiscombe Park website for more details.
