JAG
I am building a LSIS (Lotus Seven Inspired Sportscar) and have noticed a standard Caterham fuel tank for sale. I am unsure whether this tank will fit into my car and was hoping somebody could give me some dimensions. Simple max length, max height and max width would be enough although all info gratefully received. Justin

stevefoster
ok. ali tank dims Width 80cm depth 23cm height front 25.5 cm (feed pipe for carb cars, return pipe for injection) height rear 17cm Add ~1 cm to rear / bottom and 1cm each end if you add the crash protection kit. Easily done as the tank is sitting on the garage floor awaiting cladding in crashprotection kit and fuel hose. My racing pics, 7 DIY, race prep. JAG
Thanks Steve, My car has room for a tank upto the following sizes; 80cm x 25cm x upto 40cm although if it were 40cm high I would have no boot space. Looks like the Caterham tank will fit quite nicely Thanks for your help Steve. Justin
stevefoster
Forgot to say the 2.5" odd round filler neck is on the right rear top panel and stands up about 1.5" higher than the top of the tank.
