This is a true one of a kind. The 2.3L Duratec engine was built by Minister, who designed it to produce a reliable 260bhp. The car itself was then built by Gary May of Freestyle, along with one of the Caterham engineers at the time, Len Unwin. It was given Freestyle's inboard front suspension with superwide track wishbones whilst the rear track was widened to that of an sv to improve its stability. The decision was made that with all this torque a 6 speed close ratio gearbox was unnecessary, so the wider ratio 5 speed was fitted. This car drives faultlessly and starts on the button every time. It’s been cosseted and wants for nothing. No other car in this price range could come close!
