masha
Just like Caterham's very own press/test-car' 7 DUO that they still have ... but with an 'A' in front (next best thing to the 5-grand original). If you'd like to put A7 DUO on your 7 then email ms81@cant.ac.uk with serious yet sensible offers ASAP. This is a lovely short plate with a no. 7 in it and the DUO/2-seater connection, the buyer will also get a pair of Caterham branded, specially shortened / plates with no holes drilled in them or call 01227 379190 and leave a message to express an interest. TIM 5O
Last time at Caterham Cars noticed 7 DUO is now on their sign written Discovery just does not look the same Best of luck selling the plate
masha
I know I've seen it on the land rover too. In fact 7 DUO has been on at least 5 different 7's I've seen in the past, its a bit of a publicity tool for Caterham Cars I guess. When R500 car no.1 was up for sale 7 DUO was an 'optional extra' but I guess the buyer of the car didn't want to fork out the extra for the plate (I heard it rumoured to be worth in excess of 5k!). My A7 DUO plate is nearly as short and probably the next best thing to the classic Caterham Car’s 7 DUO plate (until 2007 when DU 07 DUO becomes available). For those of you with Q-plate cars the good news is that Q7 DUO is available to buy from November 03 from DVLA for £500 Matthew

Colin Grundy
I bought K7 DUO a few weeks back off the DVLC web site, £250, not bad I thought. At the time there were quite a few DUO prefix's. 😬
masha
yep - but not many with the just the no. 7 in left; whats left at DVLA is either H's or K's at £250, most other letters £399 and A1's are £999 - no DUO left though.

masha
Thanks for the offer, but if I don't get offers in the region of £750 by Friday I'm going to have it transferred to my 911 for a few years. happy 7ing

masha
Thanks Westy... at least its nice and short and is a bit more personalised than the G-plate that is on it.

masha
ps what's exactually do you mean by a ringer - is it a car that looks like the real thing but isn't quite. I know there are 911 replicas out there but they are quite easy to spot.
Tight fart
A ringer is a car whose identity has been changed, normally for financial gain by naughty people.
Mark Piper
Matt - 911 "G" reg...presumably not a 2.0 pre impact bumper...so a G50 Carrera 3.2 eh? ...sorry, I don't want the plate, just being nosey about the
masha
Hi Mark Have my eye on a '91 911 964 Series that will do the job nicely, hoping to secure it or something like it soon as a replacement for the 'spare' 7 M
