Ian DL
Thanks Stelios. It had crossed my mind that the filler cap could be culpable. It looks OK but there is a little oil around it, but that could be from filling. I'll investigate further. Ian
SteliosV
Ian, hi. Separate to the cam cover gasket oil seepage, when issues with the oil filler cap first manifested themselves overfilling (or, rather, wayward filling) of oil was thought to be the cause. Ian DL
Hi Stelios. That very interesting. Thank you. It sounds like a new filler cap could be the next thing to try. It would be lovely if it's that easy 🤞! Ian
BigCol
I had an issue with my cam cover gasket. I got a new one from Burton Power (£ << than Caterham) and tightened it thus: All fine post-replacement. Edited June 30 by BigCol
Ian DL
Thanks for that Col. I have a replacement oil filler cap arriving today. If that doesn't solve it, then a cam gasket is next. Ian
