Roll over bars

I have a 91 de Dion supersprint with the original roll bar.  I want to order a soft bits hood but if I take a straight line from the windscreen to the top of the bar the hood will be resting on my head!  I have read that you can get higher bars, possibly FIA. What should I be looking for and where would I get one.

1 Is it a half-hood that you're considering?

2 Roughly what size are you? What type of seats? And do you have a standard floor?

3 Can you post a side-on photo of you and the current bar and the windscreen?

Baz - I am 5'9'' and I had the same dilemma earlier this year with the same car as you - a '91 De Dion Supersprint with H8 rollbar. I went for it and it was snug but my head didn't touch the hood. It is currently in the for sale section as I have changed cars and have a different roll bar so the hood no longer fits. If you want to try and buy then you are welcome....?

I purchased the shower cap at the same time which is a must have if you are looking to ditch the full hood (which most do when they have the half hood). The shower cap is for sale too!
