Area Representative Piers300 Posted October 20, 2014 Area Representative Share Posted October 20, 2014 I've just bought some leather seats to replace my tillets. The runners were missing some bolts and there are two sizes. The larger size is I think 10mm and is 20mm long and has an allen key head. Then there are three smaller allen key bolts that hold the seat frame to the runner. These are much smaller. Can anyone confirm the sizes. Thanks in advance. Is there any thing else that has to be fitted between runners and the floor.Piers
Jonathan Kay
Are these the sort where if you use an ordinary bolt for the runners to the floor you can wedge a screwdriver aginst the head to stop it turning when you tighten the nut? Others have suggested welding the bolt to the seat... and cutting a slot in the threaded end! Jonathan
Area Representative Piers300 Posted October 20, 2014 Author Area Representative Share Posted October 20, 2014 Hello Jonathan Due to a bad back, (reason for seat change) I have not yet removed the tillets to find what size holes I have in the floor to mount the leather seats. I have found the right sizes of the two different allen headed bolts from a local garage, so all fine now. What I need to know is there any addition load spreading material needed between the runners and floor. Piers
