Chris Perry
Dear All,I was at Caterham Midlands this week and noticed that 2014 cars are fitted with a new two pot aluminium front brake caliper which bolts to the upright as a radial mount as opposed to the old traditional lug mount.Does anyone have any information on the new calipers? Weight, piston size and pad size? Thanks,Chris Perry
cb4798
Could you let Caterham know this, please. Based on what they sent me as part of my kit, they are not aware of this.
elie boone
The 160 uses a AP 2 pot alloy caliper, not sure about the other models. Hi-Spec have a 2 pot & 4 pot alternative as a diect replacement for the cast iron caliper.
Ian Macquarie
Now that time has passed on a bit, can anybody answer Chris' question regarding piston size?
Mark w
Cannot answer the question but can confirm that they are a bu33er to remove to change the pads and your recommended to change the fixing bolts early in the life of the car if you ever want to undo them ....
