Duckpit
Help My drivers side sidelights have stopped working. Any ideas ? Is it likely to be a single fault or 2 faults ? Nick
Member Jonathan Kay Posted October 8, 2014 Member Share Posted October 8, 2014 That's a bit unusual.Check the bulbs.Do you have a multimeter already?Jonathan
Agrippa
The lights are sided left and right from the fuse, so this indicates a blown fuse or bad contact on the fuse carrier.Should be sixth one down from the top. Adrian.
Member Jonathan Kay Posted October 8, 2014 Member Share Posted October 8, 2014 Not sure about that.I think the same fuse usually feeds both sides so it can't be that. Could be where the wires diverge but faults around the bulbs, lampholder and earths are so common that I'd put my money on two of those.(Bayes rather than Gilbert of Occam.)Jonathan
SM25T
On my 2002 car .... there are separate fuses for the LH and RH sidelights .... 6th and 7th fuses down from the top. One is 5A and one is 7.5A .... think it does rear number plate lights too ?

Area Representative Paul Richards Posted October 8, 2014 Area Representative Share Posted October 8, 2014 Confirm there are separate fuses for each side. Safety feature so that you don't lose all lights.
