Pat the Plumber
Silly question 😳 I'm in the process of fitting the dry sump tank, with an additional boss for the temp. Do i have to use the Stack oil thermostat sender(£33) or can i get a cheaper version(£15) Will this still work with the dash display.
Support Team Shaun_E Posted September 17, 2014 Support Team Share Posted September 17, 2014 Hi Pat - you'll need the "correct" sender. There will certainly be a cheaper alternative but the std Caterham (non-Stack) sender might not work. You'll need to check the specs of both. I'm sure someone has found a suitable alternative but I still have the original Stack one so can't help.
Mark w
Pat I had a stack dash in my old car and it ran off a normal pressure sensor that was "teed" off near the oil filter .
Pat the Plumber
Just ordered a stack sender from Dave Kimberley. £43 with the vat.
simonpa
Think Automotive used to be cheaper than most for genuine Stack senders.
